I love video game music and I love a cappella music.
As a child, teenager, and even today, a lot of my inspiration as a musician came from the likes of Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Mahito Yokota, Yu Miyake, Kenta Nagata, Yasunori Mitsuda, Martin O’Donnell, Steve Kirk, Garry Schyman, and Harry Gregson-Williams.
Then, after going to college to study music and starting an a cappella group, I quickly became addicted to reproducing the sounds of some of my favorite artists while only using the human voice.
So my YouTube channel, ACappellaVGM, is dedicated to making the two become one. It started as a joke between a roommate and I and has since turned into a full-fledged hobby.
All recordings, unless otherwise noted, were arranged and performed entirely without the use of instruments by Patrick Dunnevant.
